It should prohibit the possession of semi-automatic rifles and came five days after the terrorist attacks in Paris. However, the bill faces many lovers of weapons who put a lot of money and effort in their hobby and not only them. On the website Change.org appeared a petition addressed to the European Council that arms control cannot stop terrorism. It currently has over 215,000 signatures and has been translated into 14 European languages. It came by the movement FIREARMS UNITED, which brings together owners of firearms, hunters and other enthusiasts across Europe and the world.
