Established in November 2015 following the Paris terror attacks, The\u00a0“Mirabeau Institute” is the think-tank, the laboratory of law experts\u00a0mobilized to promote a more pragmatic and realistic legislation\u00a0against new forms of crime and terrorism.\u00a0This Institue has a double purpose, using scientific studies made\u00a0known to the authorities, which consists in :
\n– a reform of criminal and law enforcement self-defense
\n– a more flexible law on the ownership and bearing of lethal and
\nnon-lethal weapons.<\/p>\n
Its work on individual and collective security are based on the Swiss,\u00a0Israeli and North American models. With a significant political and\u00a0academic network, the Mirabeau Institute\u2019s action on legislative\u00a0lobbying is to open new fields of reflection such as carrying weapons\u00a0off duty or changing the rules of engagement of the security force.\u00a0Recognizing the inefficiency of anti-gun reforms until now, this group\u00a0of lawyers and specialist is opposed to most restrictions against
\nlegal gun owners.\u00a0This vision is global and draws on the liberal and republican heritage\u00a0of the Declaration of Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789.<\/p>\n
